Chelsea could be offered a potential swap deal as Juventus eye a move centre-back Benoit Badiashile, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport.

The Blues have spent a fortune to bring in fresh recruits to bolster Xabi Alonso’s squad.

Chelsea are now focusing on trimming their bloated squad to balance the books, and several players have been placed on the chopping block.

Badiashile is likely to leave Chelsea this summer, and he isn’t short of options despite his injury issues.

He has a deal in place with Napoli. However, the deal hasn’t been finalised yet, paving the way for Juventus to swoop.

Chelsea are actively trying to get the Frenchman off their books, and Juventus are ready to hijack the deal with their Italian counterparts stalling.

Juventus are trying to entice Chelsea with the prospect of a swap deal and are ready to offer Portuguese winger Francesco Conceicao.

However, whether Chelsea will be interested in taking the ‘incredible’ 23-year-old winger remains is unclear considering they’re spoilt for choice on the flanks.

Conceicao has spent the last two seasons at Juventus, making 82 appearances in all competitions, although his measly 22 goal contributions hardly catch the eye.

Nevertheless, his pace, close control and ability to skip past defenders in one-on-one situations make him a dangerous prospect in the attacking third.

If Chelsea are open to taking Conceicao, it would pave the way for Juventus to hijack Napoli’s deal for Badiashile.

Napoli have reportedly agreed to sign him on loan, with an option to make the move permanent for around £20 million. But they’re delaying the move while they work on freeing up space in their squad.

Juventus are willing to secure a deal with a similar structure, but the possibility of reaching an agreement comes down to whether Chelsea are interested in Conceicao.
