Chelsea winger Raheem Sterling could make the short move to Fulham in the summer transfer window.
The 30-year-old’s time at Stamford Bridge appears to be up, three years after he completed his £47.5 million move from Manchester City.
Sterling, who spent last season on loan with Arsenal, has struggled to rediscover the form that once made him one of the Premier League‘s elite attackers. He failed to find the net in the top flight in the 2024/25 campaign after being handed just seven league starts by Mikel Arteta.
With seemingly no place for him in Enzo Maresca’s squad, the former Liverpool star “will be allowed to leave” Chelsea once again this summer, according to The Telegraph.
Bayer Leverkusen and Juventus have been linked with Sterling, but it is now claimed that Fulham have put him on a “shortlist of summer targets”.
A move for Sterling has been “discussed” inside Craven Cottage as Marco Silva looks to add experience to his team following last season’s record points total of 54. Chelsea are said to want £20m for the England international.
Silva is also looking to bring Arsenal player Reiss Nelson back to Fulham following his loan spell last term. The two clubs have reportedly been in talks about another loan deal, although the Gunners would like to add a “permanent element” to any potential transfer as the winger enters the final 24 months of his contract.
The 25-year-old made 12 appearances, six of which were starts, in all competitions for the Cottagers, scoring two goals and providing one assist. His season was cut short in December when he sustained a hamstring injury.
It is possible that Fulham sign both players following the departure of Willian as Silva looks to add “further wide options” to his squad ahead of next season.
