Chelsea suffered a 3-0 loss on the night at Stamford Bridge and an 8-2 dismantling over the two legs against an impressive PSG side.

Starting XI

Robert Sánchez – 6.5/10

The Spaniard arguably should have done better to prevent PSG’s opening goal, however he could do nothing about the second or third goals and made some strong saves throughout the game.

Mamadou Sarr – 5/10

Sarr was spun far too easily by Kvaratskhelia for the opener and never really recovered from that, seeing him substituted at the break.

Trevoh Chalobah – 6/10

A quiet first half for the 26-year-old saw the game pass him by for large parts, only winning 33% of his ariel duels in the first 45. An improved second period for the Englishman came to an end in the 82nd minute when he was stretchered off by the medical team.

Jorrel Hato – 5.5/10

Much likes his centre-back partner, Hato seemed to have little impact on the first 45 except for his header nearly finding the back of the net in the 43rd minute. Along with the rest of his side, Hato improved in the second-half but it was too little too late.

Marc Cucurella – 6/10

The majority of action from the oposition didn’t come down Cucurella’s side, however he did leave Bradley Barcola far too much time and space to pick out the top corner for PSG’s second goal.

Andrey Santos – 7/10

Santos was the main driving force behind a few Chelsea attacks during the first period, whilst simultaneously not abandoning his defensive duties alongside Caicedo.

Moises Caicedo – 7/10

The Ecuadorian recovered the ball well during the first-half and kept Warren Zaïre-Emery relatively quiet througout. He had more of a presence in the second-half as Chelsea improved.

Cole Palmer – 6/10

Palmer was nowhere near his usual standards in the first-half, despite creating one or two openings for The Blues he didn’t get a foothold in the game until the back end of the first 45. The Chelsea number ten was then brought off in favour of Garnacho in the second-half.

Enzo Fernández – 6/10

A strong pass completion rate during the first period was the best Enzo had to offer this evening, he just never really got going, this was further emphasised when he was taken off on the hour mark.

Pedro Neto – 7/10

Neto was consistently the out ball for Chelsea, but his Portugese counterpart, Nuno Mendes, prevented him from creating many opportunities for large parts of the game.

João Pedro – 5.5/10

The Brazilian striker’s only moment of excitement in the first 45 came when his shot from a tight angle was saved by Safonov towards the end of the half. Pedro saw another effort come close early on in the second-half before his night came to an end and we was replaced by Liam Delap.

Substitutes

Josh Acheampong – 6/10

After being introduced at half-time for The Blues, the teenage defender battled well in an already tough environment.

Alejandro Garnacho – 7.5/10

The Argentinian was a good source of attacking output for the hosts after his introduction, but just lacked that final product in front of goal.

Liam Delap – 6.5/10

Much like Garnacho, Delap had a few efforts on goal but they were well saved by Safonov between the PSG posts who had a great game himself.

Romeo Lavia – 6/10

The Belgian struggled to get going in the game against an impressive opposing midfield.

Tosin Adarabiyo – 6.5/10

Tosin added to a better Chelsea defence in the latter stages of the second-half, but by that point they were up against a weakened PSG side who had withdrawn their initial front three.
