Goals from Nicolas Jackson, Enzo Fernandez and Cole Palmer saw Enzo Maresca’s men to a 3-0 victory and extended their unbeaten run to six games across all competitions.

The win ensures Chelsea stay inside the top four ahead of the midweek trip to newly-promoted Southampton.

Here’s how Maresca’s side rated at Stamford Bridge...

Robert Sanchez 6

An extremely welcome first clean sheet in eight league games, just as Filip Jorgensen is putting pressure on his place.

Moises Caicedo 8

Nominally at right-back but spent most of the game in midfield as the home side dictated. Has become so reliable. Outstanding.

Wesley Fofana 7

One or two hairy moments but largely did well against Ollie Watkins in a physical battle, including one brilliant last-ditch tackle. Limped off just before the hour after awkward slip.

Levi Colwill 7

Went toe-to-toe with Morgan Rogers, following the Villa man’s every move.

Marc Cucurella 7

Assisted the opening goal with good cross for Jackson after strong challenge to win back the ball.

Romeo Lavia 8

Some terrific passing through the lines. Such a dynamic player.

Enzo Fernandez 8

Is thriving in advanced role and made it two goals in two league games with terrific finish.

Pedro Neto 6

On his preferred right wing and always a threat with delivery cutting back.

Cole Palmer 8

Denied by smart Emi Martinez save early on before setting up Fernandez strike. Then a moment of magic to make the points safe.

Jadon Sancho 6

First league start in six weeks after impressive show in midweek. Always looking to be positive.

Nicolas Jackson 7

Another week and another goal for perhaps the most improved forward in the league.

Substitutes

Benoit Badiashile (Fofana 59’) 6

On for the injured Fofana and slotted in seamlessly.

Christopher Nkunku (Jackson 70’) 6

Fired wide with a late chance.

Noni Madueke (Sancho 70’) 6

Picked up a rather generous assist for Palmer goal. Booked for diving.

Joao Felix (Palmer 86’) N/A

Malo Gusto (Lavia 86’) N/A
