Chelsea crept into the Carabao Cup fourth round with a 2-1 win at Lincoln City.
The Blues trailed at the interval after poor defending afforded the hosts and Rob Street the opener.
But another poor performance by Enzo Maresca’s men was forgiven and forgotten because of two goals in two minutes to turn the tie on its head.
First Tyrique George volleyed sweetly into the corner. Then Facundo Buonanotte snuck into the box and turned the ball past in.
Dom Smith was at the LNER Stadium to run the rule over the Chelsea players…
Filip Jorgensen 3
A really poor performance from a goalkeeper mightily fortunate not to have conceded more than once. He failed with attempts to catch or punch crosses so many times.
Malo Gusto 5
Decent in possession but often opted for the simple, backwards route.
Wesley Fofana 5
Won some important 50-50s but was also far too safe on the ball. Still doesn’t look a £70million defender.
Trevoh Chalobah 4
Far outpaced in a leg race with Rob Street when running back towards goal, and then conceded to the same player when he waited for an Enzo Fernandez pass and was outleaped and dispossessed before it reached him. Not a good night for him.
Jorrel Hato 6
One of Chelsea’s better players. Often unmarked and quite effective when dribbling forward from left-back.
Andrey Santos 6
Shown a yellow card for a late challenge that stopped a first-half counter-attack. On the ball, he was economic and moved it forward with snappier passing than many of his team-mates.
Enzo Fernandez 5
His wayward pass allowed Lincoln their opener. Was then booked for dissent. Improved in the second half but his first-half offering was poor.
Alejandro Garnacho 6
The Lincoln crowd booed his every move, but the Argentine was still able to make some decent inroads into the final third on the occasion of his 59-minute full debut.

Facundo Buonanotte 7
This was a decent performance from the Argentine, who wriggled free of challenges with close footwork, before scoring his first Chelsea goal.
Jamie Gittens 6
Struck into the side netting with a couple of chances on an overall busy display from the Englishman. Now needs to do that in bigger games when shown faith by Maresca.
Tyrique George 6
Did very little in the game... until hammering a beautifully struck volley into the corner to draw Chelsea back level.
Subs:
Estevao (Garnacho, 59’) 5
Had some nice moments when he looked to take on the Lincoln defence, but is still guilty of not releasing the ball soon enough at times.
Shim Mheuka (George, 70’) 5
Positioned himself well but saw little of the ball.
Pedro Neto (Gittens, 70’) 5
Carried well when the ball landed his way on the counter.
Marc Cucurella (Fernandez, 70’) 5
Got stuck in defensively and made runs forward off the ball too.
Reggie Walsh (Buonanotte, 90+5’) N/A
Not used: Slonina, James, Caicedo, Harrison
