Chelsea winger Pedro Neto is reportedly attracting interest from Manchester City, according to the Daily Mail.

The Blues are reshuffling their attack and could let the 26-year-old leave and reunite with Enzo Maresca after their successful time at Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea will likely demand a huge sum to let Neto leave for a Premier League rival despite his struggle for consistency in West London.

Neto joined Chelsea in a big-money deal two seasons ago and played a key role as the club clinched the Club World Cup and Conference League titles.

However, his tenure at SW6 has also been hugely frustrating, with the Portuguese international (30 caps) lacking cutting edge in the final third on several memorable occasions.

Neto has managed 19 goals and 19 assists in 103 appearances for the Blues thus far, hardly remarkable numbers considering his price tag.

Somehow, he is on City’s transfer shortlist as they look to replace Tottenham Hotspur target Savinho. They also have eyes on Chelsea full-back Malo Gusto.

However, the League Cup champions do not want to pay the £75 million transfer fee that the Blues are demanding for the defender.

Chelsea should cash in on Neto and Gusto too

If Chelsea get a decent offer for Neto, they should not think twice about cashing in.

He has been serviceable and durable, but does not move the needle in attack. His tendency to kill attacks with his poor decision-making is frustrating.

The Blues already have Geovany Quenda and Estevao Willian in the ranks. They can surely take the mantle from Neto.

Gusto is another who should be leaving the club’s books this summer if they are serious about challenging for top honours.

His downturn in form over the past two seasons has been alarming, and it doesn’t look like there will be an uptick anytime soon.

The BlueCo-owned outfit has also signed Marco Palestra and can afford to part ways with the Frenchman.
