Chelsea are reportedly still in talks to sign a new centre back currently playing in the Premier League, despite recalling Trevoh Chalobah this month.
Chalobah, who was loaned out to Crystal Palace in the summer, has now returned to Cobham early to play out the rest of the season for Chelsea as The Blues suffered injuries to current defenders such as Wesley Fofana and Benoit Badiashile.
But with rumours suggesting that Axel Disasi is still likely to be sold or loaned out this month, and also now links with Tosin Adarabioyo potentially leaving this month as well, Chelsea are still potentially looking for a new centre back this month.
Marc Guehi of Crystal Palace is that guy, and even though Chelsea have just taken Chalobah back off Palace to leave them short at the back, they are also apparently still in talks with them about signing Guehi this month.

TEAMtalk report Chelsea are plotting a blockbuster January move for Crystal Palace centre-back Marc Guehi as manager Enzo Maresca looks to add to his defensive options.
The Blues have apparently been in talks with Palace for some time to try and find a structure for a deal which suits all parties. But so far Palace are not budging on their asking price that is too high for Chelsea.
Their sources have said that Palace are aiming to get as close to £70million for Guehi and are in a strong position, as they know the 24-year-old is happy to stay until the summer.
Chelsea are prioritising the singing of a new centre-back this month but unless Palace are willing to drop their asking price for Guehi, there is unlikely to be any movement, but Chelsea are likely to revisit this in the summer if not this month.
