Chelsea are assessing a summer move for Sunderland goalkeeper Robin Roefs as they seek to resolve issues in goal.
Football Insider reports that the Blues are keeping tabs on the Netherlands Under-21 international and are evaluating a fee of up to £60m, with Liverpool and Manchester City also said to be interested.
Chelsea remain in contention for next season's Champions League and reached the FA Cup semi-finals with a 7-0 win at League One bottom club Port Vale on Saturday. Significant work is still viewed as necessary under head coach Liam Rosenior.
Goalkeeping options have been under scrutiny, with Robert Sanchez struggling for consistency and Filip Jorgensen failing to emerge as a convincing alternative, despite almost £50m spent on the pair.
Roefs has impressed in his debut season at the Stadium of Light, keeping nine clean sheets in 30 appearances in all competitions, and was widely rated among the Premier League's standout keepers before an injury that has sidelined him for Sunderland's last four matches.
