Blues missing key names for crucial second leg
Chelsea could face something of a right-back crisis for their Champions League last-16 second leg against Paris Saint-Germain on Tuesday.
Both captain Reece James and Malo Gusto missed training at Cobham on Monday morning.
James is out of the game and could face several weeks on the sidelines with a fresh hamstring injury sustained towards the end of Saturday’s 1-0 defeat to Newcastle.
Gusto, meanwhile, was unwell on Monday and is a doubt for the PSG game with a final assessment due on the day of the game.
Chelsea are seeking to overturn a 5-2 defeat from their disastrous first leg in Paris.
Estevao has not played since last month’s FA Cup win at Hull City due to a hamstring injury of his own but is now back in training and is expected to be able to take some part in the game, though a start feels unlikely.
Jamie Gittens has been out with a hamstring injury, while Levi Colwill is working his way back from a serious knee injury that means he has not played a single minute this term. Gittens did not train today. Colwill did.
Goalkeeper Filip Jorgensen made two high-profile errors in the first leg against PSG but is due to undergo scans on a groin injury so will miss the second leg, with Robert Sanchez to start instead.
Pedro Neto is available after UEFA decided not to hand him a one-match ban for his shove on a ball-boy late on in the first leg at the Parc des Princes.
If James and Gusto are both out of the game, Trevoh Chalobah or Josh Acheampong, centre-backs by trade, will be considered emergency right-back options by head coach Liam Rosenior.
Chelsea predicted XI (4-2-3-1): Sanchez; Gusto, Fofana, Chalobah, Cucurella; Santos, Caicedo; Palmer, Fernandez, Neto; Joao Pedro
Injured: James, Colwill, Jorgensen, Gittens
Doubt: Gusto
