Chicago Fire striker Hugo Cuypers is on an absolute tear in MLS this season. The Belgian is on pace for a historic season after bagging his 13th goal of the campaign this afternoon against CF Montréal.
Gregg Berhalter's Fire side are purring so far, sitting third in the Eastern Conference after the win north of the border today.
And that success is due in large part to the red-hot form of Cuypers leading the line.
With his goal to extend Chicago's lead, Cuypers extended his scoring streak to 10 straight games, becoming just the third player in league history to do so.
LAFC and MLS legend Carlos Vela scored in a record 11 straight during his illustrious career, and Cuypers is on pace to match the Mexican.
Chicago have long been linked to legendary striker Robert Lewandowski, but do they even need him if Cuypers his showing himself to be an elite goalscorer in MLS!?
