Chivas Femenil delivered a strong performance at Estadio Caliente, but a lapse in the final moments resulted in a 1-1 draw against Xolos in Matchday 14 of the Clausura 2026. The Rojiblancas temporarily climbed to sixth place in the standings with 28 points, with a game in hand that could push them even higher.

The team knew it wouldn’t be an easy match, given the challenges of playing on artificial turf and the intensity of the home side, who pressed relentlessly in every play. The first half featured constant back-and-forth possession and high tempo, creating chances at both ends, though the clearest opportunities belonged to Chivas.

In the second half, the coach’s adjustments tilted the game in Guadalajara’s favor, as they increased pressure and created more chances. They even scored once, but the goal was ruled out for offside. Still, their efforts paid off when Mia Urbano netted her first professional goal to give Chivas the lead. However, a lack of focus in the final play of the match allowed Tijuana to equalize.

Chivas Femenil will have a chance to bounce back soon, as they host Mazatlán this Thursday, April 2, at Estadio AKRON for Matchday 15 of the CL26, aiming to continue climbing the standings.

Goals

- Mia’s first! At the 76th minute, Urbano opened the scoring with a header inside the box that beat the goalkeeper after a great cross from Casarez.

- The home side equalized through Jazmín Enrigue in the 97th minute, with a cross into the box that took a slight touch and slipped past Blanca Félix.

Key chances

- 10’: Jasmine fired the first warning with a shot from outside the box, straight at the goalkeeper.

- 14’: Carolina Jaramillo nearly surprised with a free kick that drifted just over the crossbar.

- 18’: Mia Urbano attempted a chip from the left, aiming for the far post, but it went over.

- 22’: Denise Castro stole the ball in buildup, drove forward, and unleashed a powerful shot that narrowly missed.

- 25’: Castro came close again, controlling a rebound, beating her marker, and firing just wide.

- 27’: Jaramillo tried again from a set piece, but the goalkeeper made a strong save.

- 73’: Jasmine Casarez had scored, but the assistant referee flagged a very tight offside.

- 80’: Alicia Cervantes attempted an acrobatic finish, but the goalkeeper recovered in time to save it.
