Chivas Femenil Played Its First Preseason Match Ahead of the Apertura 2026 | OneFootball

Chivas Femenil continued its Rojiblanca Preseason this afternoon by playing its first preseason friendly against León at La Loma Training Complex in Querétaro. The match consisted of two 35-minute periods followed by an additional 45-minute period, allowing every member of the squad to see action.

Throughout the opening two periods, Antonio Contreras experimented with different tactical variations, prioritizing high pressing in the opponent's half and combination play in transition. He also tested multiple formations in an effort to explore new tactical options and maximize the strengths of each player. The first 70 minutes ended scoreless.

For the third period, the manager gave valuable minutes to several Rojiblanca Academy players who have been training with the First Team throughout the camp. The match opened up after a highly controversial penalty was awarded for a handball inside the box, forcing Chivas to chase the game from behind. Despite creating several attacking opportunities, the Rojiblancas ultimately fell 3-0.

Chivas Femenil will continue working hard during the remainder of its stay in Querétaro, focusing on fine-tuning both the physical and tactical aspects of its preparation ahead of its next preseason match against Necaxa on Saturday, July 25.
