There are two certainties whenever Chivas Femenil begin a tournament. On one hand, there is the excitement their return to action generates among the Rojiblanca Nation, and on the other, the flawless starts they deliver each new Liga MX Femenil semester.
The Clausura 2026 opener was no exception, as El Rebaño made home advantage count by defeating Atlético San Luis 2–0, extending their already impressive record in 18 opening matchdays, where they now total 15 wins, 2 draws and just 1 loss, dating back to the distant AP19. That makes 13 consecutive tournaments in which Chivas Femenil have started on the right foot.
Matchday 1 has also been a guarantee of goals for El Rebaño, who have scored at least one goal in every single season opener. The total now stands at 42 goals, for an average of 2.3 goals per opening match.
But it doesn’t stop there, as defensive solidity has been key to those achievements. In 11 of their 18 league debuts, Las Rojiblancas have shut the door and kept a clean sheet. In fact, five of those have come recently, as they have not conceded a goal since the Clausura 2024 opener. Across those matches, they have allowed only nine goals.
To wrap it up, Chivas Femenil have found an almost perfect rhythm when opening Clausura tournaments: six consecutive wins, adding to the seven victories and two draws El Chiverío have recorded in calendar-year openers.
Rojiblanca Note
- Xolos and Atlético San Luis are the teams that have faced El Rebaño Sagrado the most on Matchday 1 of Liga MX Femenil, with three editions each, and neither has managed to defeat them. The overall record stands at five wins and one draw for Guadalajara. In fact, the biggest opening-day win in Chivas Femenil history was the 5–0 thrashing of the San Luis side in AP21.
