With excitement running high over the return of Liga MX action, Guadalajara wrapped up its preparations to take on Pachuca in the Matchday 1 fixture of the Clausura 2026. The Rebaño Sagrado is well aware of the importance of this matchup, as getting off to a strong start is key—especially considering it will be the first of three matches to be played over the next eight days.
Following Friday afternoon’s training session, Gabriel Milito named a 21-man squad with which he will look to showcase the team’s best footballing version and secure the first three points of the semester.
What’s new?• New signings Brian Gutiérrez, Ángel Sepúlveda, and Ricardo Marín have been included for this match and could make their official debuts with the Rebaño.• Ángel Chávez, a central defender from Tapatío who completed preseason with the First Team, appears on the list of players eligible to face the Tuzos.• Diego Campillo and Rubén González remain in the final stage of their rehabilitation processes and are close to returning, but were not included for this match.• Gilberto Sepúlveda suffered a sprain to his left ankle during the friendly against Leones Negros, meaning his return to competition will depend on his recovery progress.
