Chivu awarded Serie A Coach of the Month for January

2026 kicked off in the same way that 2025 ended for Cristian Chivu. After already winning the award in December, the Nerazzurri coach received the Philadelphia Coach of the Month award for January from Lega Serie A. Inter have maintained their strong form in the league. Out of the six matches they've played, they've recorded five wins against Bologna, Parma, Lecce, Udinese, and Pisa, as well as a draw against Napoli.

In January, Inter scored 15 goals and conceded five. After 22 matchdays, Inter are top of the standings with 52 points, with the most prolific attack in Serie A.

The award was decided by a panel of sports media directors, who evaluated each coach based on their team's technical performance, quality of play, conduct, and sportsmanship during matches
