Marcus Rashford’s future at Manchester United remains shrouded in mystery.
The England international sparked further speculation following an interview with Henry Winter published on X (formerly Twitter), which hinted at a potential exit.
“If I know that a situation is already bad I’m not going to make it worse. I’ve seen how other players have left in the past and I don’t want to be that person,” the footballer said.
“When I leave I’ll make a statement and it will be from me.
“When I leave it’s going to be ‘no hard feelings’. You’re not going to have any negative comments from me about Manchester United. That’s me as a person.
“For me, personally, I think I’m ready for a new challenge and the next steps.”
It’s currently understood that United would be willing to part ways with their star academy graduate as soon as the upcoming January transfer window. This would form part of a potential cultural reboot at Old Trafford following the arrival of Erik ten Hag’s successor, Ruben Amorim.

Christian Falk has assured United fans that Bayern Munich are not interested in bringing the 27-year-old (linked with a switch to Säbener Straße by Fichajes) to the Bundesliga.
The Bavarian giants are interested in a similar profile to what the forward offers, but their ongoing search for offensive reinforcements will likely take them to alternative avenues.
“Not True: That Bayern Munich are interested in Marcus Rashford,” the BILD reporter informed CaughtOffside in his exclusive Fact Files column.
“Of course, he’s a good player but it would be too expensive a move. Bayern don’t have a free role on the pitch to ensure he’d be a starter in the first-XI.
“It’s true that Bayern are searching for a player who could operate behind Harry Kane and as a backup to the England international. That’s why the profile of Marcus Rashford would fit at Bayern Munich, but no – it’s too expensive!
“And, ultimately, if it’s too expensive for Bayern, it’s too expensive for the whole league. It’s a pity, but we won’t see Rashford in the Bundesliga.”
Reports of a falling out with new head coach Amorim may very well have been exaggerated.
That said, the Portuguese boss’ response to his striker’s public comments would certainly indicate that the No.10 isn’t in his good graces at this current point in time.
“It’s hard to explain what I am going to do. I’m a little bit emotional,” the former Sporting CP boss told reporters (via The Guardian).
“I need to prepare for the game and then we will see. Let’s focus on the team, not individual players.”
Regardless, it would seem an incredible waste of talent, as far as United are concerned, were they to fail to get a regular tune out of Marcus Rashford once again.
There can be no question that an overall harmful spell under Erik ten Hag’s tutelage hardly did the forward and his development any favours.
Under Amorim, however, there’s a growing sense of potential optimism for the future of a sleeping giant still waiting to emerge from an extended hibernation following Sir Alex Ferguson’s 2013 exit.
What a shame it would be for Rashford to miss the Red Devils’ potential rise.
