FULL TIME: City 3-0 Brentford

A big second-half performance helps City to move two points behind Arsenal. Keremy Doku got the ball rolling with an excellent opener before Erling Haaland and Omar Marmoush sunk Brentford with two late goals.

GOOOAL CITY

What an excellent team goal from the Cityzens as Savinho plays to Haaland, who feeds in Omar Marmoush and the attacker fires across goal and into the net.

5 minutes of added time to play

Jeremy Doku is subbed off to a standing ovation from the Etihad. Pep Guardiola even joins in for the round of applause.

Another unbelievable campaign for the Norwegian.

BIG SAVE!

Wow, that's a moment of brilliance from Caoimhin Kelleher. Doku finds Foden in the area and the midfielder strikes high towards the net, but the Brentford goalkeeper somehow claws it over the bar. Outstanding.

How important could these two late goals prove to be for City?

GOOOAL CITY

Surely that seals it and helps City to close the gap on Arsenal? Semenyo breaks down the wing, squares to Haaland and he somehow scuffs a bacheel into the net.

Man of the moment.

CLOSE CITY

It's Doku again who is casuing Brentford issues as he goes on his left foot this time and his whipped shot is deflected wide.

CHANCE CITY

City keep the pressure on and the ball falls kindly for Phil Foden inside the area. He shoots low towards goal and Caoimhin Kelleher saves with his feet.

What a hit!

GOOOAL MAN CITY!

Jeremy Doku finally breaks the deadlock for City! The winger works the ball inside and unleashes an unstoppable finish into the top corner, giving Caoimhin Kelleher absolutely no chance

CHANCE BRENTFORD

Wow, Brentford burst forward with pace and Igor Thiago gets through on goal and fires at Gianluigi Donnarumma. The City goalkeeper saves and Marc Guehi clears the lines.

City make another bright start to the second half as Cherki tries to pick out the near post with a low shot and it skims past the post.

SECOND HALF

The second 45 minutes gets underway

The hosts were pretty dominant throughout the first half!

A big half for City coming up. Can they close the gap?

HALF TIME: Man City 0-0 Brentford

City have the better chances in the opening 45 minutes, but cannot find a way through the Brentford defence.

Two minutes of injury time to go. Will we see an opener before the break?

Rayan Cherki takes the free-kick and it's straight into the wall.

Doku wins a free-kick just a couple of yards outside the penalty area. Dangerous area for the Cityzens to shoot from.

BIG SAVE

Doku is at the centre of City's creative play again as he beats his man, crosses to Haaland and his strike is blocked by Kelleher. Nathan Ake tries to finish on the follow-up and Kelleher is quick to save once again.

Antoine Semenyo is next to send a good cross into Haaland. The City striker wins the header once again but it bounces comfortably into Caoimhin Kelleher's hands.

CLOSE CITY

Doku clips a teasing cross into Erling Haaland in a central area and the towering striker heads inches wide.

CHANCE CITY

The ball sits up nicely for Bernardo Silva on the edge of the area. He wraps his foot around the ball but sends it narrowly wide.

Doku continues to provide the attacking punch for City and the winger dribbles into a dangerous position but his cut-back is cleared.

It's become a bit scrappy after Doku's early shot. City continue to control the possession, but have struggled to create anything of note against Brentford so far.

CHANCE MAN CITY

A very bright start from Man City as Jeremy Doku drives at the Brentford defence and forces Caoimhin Kelleher into an early save.

A cagey encounter at the Stadium of Light, where Sunderland frustrated Carrick's side.

Both sides had players sent off late in the first half and Bournemouth's Rayan fired in an excellent long-range winner to take the Cherries just two points off fifth-placed Aston Villa.

OFF THE BAR

CHANCE FULHAM

Substitute Oscar Bobb almost makes an instant impact, skipping past two defenders and firing over the bar.

CHANCE SUNDERLAND

Brian Brobbey controls in the middle of the area and shoots towards goal. Senne Lammens is well placed to hold that one.

Hitting form at the tail end of the season..

GOOOAL BOURNEMOUTH

Bournemouth have been putting the pressure on early in the second period and Rayan cuts into a dangerous area from 20-yards out and drills low into the bottom corner.

OFF THE BAR!

Eli Junior-Kroupi thumps a shot from just outside the area towards goal and it cannons off the bar. Great strike from the youngster.

OFF THE BAR

Wolves have come out fighting after the break and Yerson Mosquera gets up to meet Mateus Mane's cross and heads against the bar.

CHANCE UNITED

Amad Dialo controls in a dangerous area and gets caught in two minds. Eventually, the winger tries to cross into the six-yard area but the chance goes begging.

Can United show some improvements in the second period?

OFF THE POST!

Szoboszlai has a go from 20 yards out but his low, driven effort rattles the woodwork.

Relieved Isak is back fit, of course. But they were not happy it was Ngumoha who was sacrificed.

Chelsea are level. A free-kick in a crossable position but Enzo Fernandez's effort evades everyone and finds the net.

Anfield getting restless...

Liverpool haven't built on their early goal. Instead, Chelsea are controlling possession and creating openings.

Slow play with a lack of intensity isn't going down well among the crowd.

Slow start...

Weirdly, two throw-ins were taken by Chelsea and one ends with Pedro firing just wide.
