Four Manchester City players have been included in England’s squad for the upcoming international break.
Khiara Keating, Laura Blindkilde Brown, Grace Clinton and Lauren Hemp have all been selected by Sarina Wiegman ahead of friendlies with China and Ghana.
The Lionesses will welcome Ante Milicic’s side to Wembley Stadium on Saturday 29 November, with kick-off scheduled for 17:30 (UK).
England then conclude the pause in domestic action by hosting Ghana at Southampton’s St Mary’s Stadium on Tuesday 2 December at 19:00 (UK).
The inclusions of Keating, Blindkilde Brown, Clinton and Hemp follow another strong period of Barclays Women’s Super League performances by City where we extended our winning streak to eight straight top-flight matches.
Our superb victory over Manchester United was the latest of these where Hemp scored our third in a 3-0 success at the Etihad Stadium.
This fantastic run of form has seen Andrée Jeglertz’s side climb to the division’s summit ahead of the latest international break after collecting 24 points from our first nine matches of the term.
