All the information you need prior to City's Premier League 2 play-off game against Arsenal.
Ben Wilkinson's Elite Development Squad confirmed our place in the second stage of the PL2 play-offs via a dramatic 2-1 extra-time win over Liverpool at the Joie Stadium last weekend.
And after Arsenal's late 2-1 win of their own, over Newcastle, we welcome the Gunners to the Joie Stadium for a 18:00 (UK) kick-off on Saturday 3 May.
Both teams will put their all into the match, ready to battle for a place in the final four and extend the 2024/25 campaign by at least one more week.
Regular updates of proceedings will be available on X: @ManCityAcademy once the game gets underway. A comprehensive match report and post-match reaction will be available on mancity.com and the Official Man City App shortly after the final whistle.
Tickets for the match are also available here!
City and Arsenal did not see our paths cross in the 2024/25 league phase, meaning the Gunners are just one of five teams we didn't play across the 20 Gameweeks.
As a result, our last encounter with Saturday's opponent dates back to 3 November 2023. Goals from Jaden Heskey and Mahamadou Susoho either side of half-time gave City a 2-0 lead on the road.
But by the 78th minute, an Amario Cozier-Duberry brace and Khayon Edwards strike meant the Gunners had the lead. But, an 87th minute equaliser from Jacob Wright meant the spoils were shared in our 3-3 draw.
City's first PL2 play-off game saw us welcome Liverpool to the Joie Stadium for our Round of 16 tie.
Divin Mubama gave City the lead halfway through the opening 45 minutes before Tommy Pilling drew the Reds level 20 minutes before full-time.
With the knockout stage in need of a winning side on the night, the game went to extra-time. But penalties were not necessary after Mubama found the winning strike on 107 minutes.
A triumph over Arsenal would see our Premier League 2 play-off journey continue into the semi-finals.
In our final four fixture, we would take on Manchester United or West Ham.
On the other side of the draw and fighting for a place in the other semi-final, Southampton take on Fulham and Crystal Palace play Chelsea.
