Ipswich Town beat Bristol City 2-0 at Portman Road as the Tractor Boys climbed to second in the Championship.
After a flurry of early corners, Jack Clarke opened the scoring in the eighth minute, finishing after Jens-Lys Cajuste's assist.
Zak Vyner went off in the first half, and Christian Walton kept the Tractor Boys in front with smart stops either side of the interval, denying Emil Riis Jakobsen before the break and Anis Mehmeti soon after the restart.
Clarke then doubled the advantage (55.), converting from Ivan Azon Monzon's pass to give the hosts breathing space.
After Kasey McAteer entered, he drew a save as the Tractor Boys continued to control territory on the right.
Ipswich registered 11 attempts and nine corners, reflecting a front-foot display. City produced eight attempts but were limited to three on target.
Next, the Tractor Boys visit Sheffield United. City host Sheffield Wednesday.
