Lucas Paqueta has been found innocent against all spot fixing charging following an investigation by the FA.

In what is a huge boost for the player and West Ham, after an insufferable 2 year ordeal, it’s now understood the player has finally cleared his name.

The verdict is now likely to see both the player and West Ham launch compensation claims against the Football Association, with West Ham having missed out on an £85m sale of the player in 2023.

For Paqueta, not only the mental torment this case has had on him and his family, he would have missed out on considerable earnings had the move to the Citizens had materialised.

Paqueta is now set to depart West Ham this summer, with Flamengo set to sign the player in a deal believed to be around £35m.

This is set to reignite West Ham’s transfer window, with the club now able to press ahead with talks for key targets in the coming days.
