Club Brugge winger Christos Tzolis has talked up the possibility of a move to Old Trafford, should Manchester United decide to pursue his signature.
The 24-year-old Greek international is at the centre of an intensifying summer transfer battle, with both Manchester United and Arsenal reportedly monitoring him.
Reflecting on his rapid rise after a stunning campaign in which he registered 21 goals and 28 assists across all competitions, Tzolis acknowledged that his calculated approach not to leave last season paid off.
“Staying for another year was the best decision I could have made last season,” Tzolis revealed.
“My next step would have to be a Champions League team from England, Germany, Spain, or Italy.”
Nonetheless, Tzolis did not hesitate to name Manchester United as a destination he would find difficult to turn down.
“United could convince me,” he admitted. “Such a massive club with so much history. It would be hard to say no to that.”
The winger’s candid admissions come at a time of euphoria for Club Brugge. Tzolis recently scored a crucial goal to secure a 2-2 draw at K.V. Mechelen, officially sealing Brugge’s 20th Belgian league title.
However, his sparkling form—combined with his latest comments—suggests his chapter in Belgium may be nearing its end.
A return to England would mark a full-circle moment for Tzolis, whose initial Premier League spell with Norwich City in 2021 failed to showcase his potential.
Following impressive stints at Fortuna Dusseldorf and Brugge, he has matured into a different calibre of attacker.
Club Brugge are prepared for a summer exit but intend to play hardball, with the Belgian giants reportedly demanding a fee well in excess of £32.5m, a sum that would break the league’s domestic transfer record.
