Napoli chief Giovanni Manna has indirectly informed Jadon Sancho he has no chance of sealing a move to the club unless he lowers his wage demands.
It comes after the newly crowned Serie A champions established their interest in a deal for the Manchester United outcast in recent days, joining a handful of sides mulling over a move. As of yet, none have made a formal approach since the window reopened last Monday.
Sancho is only shooting himself in the foot with his salary expectations. He even held talks with Chelsea upon the culmination of his loan spell to gauge the prospect of a permanent, long-term transfer, but eventually deterred the key decision-makers by requesting that he continue pocketing the same £300,000 per week that he has since arriving at Old Trafford in 2021.
His Stamford Bridge tenure being extended would’ve allowed him to play Champions League football next season without even upping and moving from London. Now, he faces an entirely uncertain future.

Napoli are in no rush to pursue the winger this summer, while it remains to be seen if they’ll even materialise their interest before 2025/2026 gets underway.
If Manna’s recent admission is anything to go by, the Italian giants will continue to stand firm in their reluctance to sign Sancho, even if it means an agreement never coming to fruition between all parties.
“Our offer is clear; we will not pay Sancho’s requested salary,” said Manna, as exclusively revealed by Yagiz Sabuncuoglu.
The reporter also confirmed that Fenerbahce had emerged as suitors in the mix for the wantaway 25-year-old’s signature, which would see him play under former Red Devils boss Jose Mourinho — and what’s the chances of those two clashing heads?
Nonetheless, if United are able to get any team to agree to take Sancho off their hands for good, it’ll take around £25 million to do so — the fee that Chelsea opted against paying before forking out a £5m penalty to send him back to their rivals in M16.
