A VCF Academy that keeps growing. That is the case of VCF Academy Seattle, which recently carried out its annual visit to the Ciudad Deportiva of Valencia CF to take part in a Training Experience in which 70 players, coaches and companions participated, in one of the largest expeditions of recent years.

“It is very important for us to have players who come every year and repeat the experience and see the benefits, and want more and work hard all season to be able to enjoy the Training Experience in Valencia again,” says Joe Campos, Director of VCF Academy Seattle, which has been operating since 2018 and renewed its link last season until 2028.

2 boys’ teams and 1 girls’ team

Three teams travelled to Valencia, two boys’ teams (U14 and U16) and one girls’ team (U17), to complete an extensive Training Experience that over 10 days allowed them to deepen their understanding of the VCF Academy training methodology, an international reference in the development of players to compete at the elite level.

“This Training Experience shows us that at VCF Academy Seattle we work well with the VCF Academy methodology and that what is taught here is perfectly applied in Seattle,” highlights Joe Campos.

Immersion in the VCF Academy

During those 10 days, the players were also able to feel fully integrated as one more team within the VCF Academy with gym sessions, video analysis sessions, specific goalkeeper sessions, matches against clubs from the Escoles VCF programme, as well as visiting Mestalla, the stadium with the most history in LALIGA, and enjoying a very special meeting with Valencia CF and VCF Femenino players, with whom they held an interesting meeting with Irene Soler and Amanda Mbadi.

“It was very fun because we were able to meet some of the VCF Femenino players and they told us about their experience, how young they were when they started, everything they did and how they have now reached the VCF Femenino first team,” explains Piper Randall, player at VCF Academy Seattle, who enjoyed the closeness with the players and this Training Experience. “Valencia is a good place to be and learn.”

Continuing to grow

With those memories, they now return to Seattle to continue working at the Starfire Sports facilities and put into practice everything learned. “Our objective is to continue growing and increase the number of players we have at VCF Academy Seattle, especially the number of girls we have in our programme. Now it is time to return home and implement everything learned in Valencia,” concludes Joe Campos.

VCF ACADEMY PROGRAMS

The VCF Soccer Academies that the VCF Academy has in strategic markets in North America, Europe, Asia and Oceania, the VCF Soccer Camps, international partnerships, technical consultancy and the VCF Academy World Cup are part of the VCF Soccer Academy Programs that help expand the Valencia CF brand worldwide and what its colours symbolise.

Each season, more than 5,000 players and 400 coaches from more than 50 countries around the world take part in these VCF Academy Programs, which allow them to better understand the VCF Academy playing methodology.
