Confirmed: Atlético Madrid sign Villarreal youngster | OneFootball

Atlético Madrid have tied up a deal for a member of the youth ranks at La Liga rivals Villarreal.

That’s according to Mundo Deportivo, who point towards Javier Aznar as the player in question.

Aznar, for his part, is a 19-year-old defender, who generally takes to the pitch in a left-back role, but is also capable of featuring at centre-back.

The starlet has long been held in high regard across the Spanish football landscape, with his performances for Villarreal C this past season having continued to turn heads.

And as alluded to above, such exploits have now proven enough to secure for Aznar a move to one of La Liga’s leading clubs.

As per a report from MD:

‘Atlético de Madrid has reached an agreement with Villarreal for the transfer of Javier Aznar, a left-back who joins the red-and-white club.’

Aznar is understood to have penned terms in Spain’s capital through the summer of 2027, ahead of linking up with Atlético Madrid C.
