Confirmed line-up: Ramsdale and Barnes start against Reds | OneFootball

The England international keeper replaces Nick Pope, who is on the bench. Harvey Barnes also comes into the starting XI in the other change from Saturday's defeat to Everton. Nick Woltemade misses out through illness.

Ramsdale has made 15 appearances so far this season - seven of them in the league - and he was between the posts for United's last victory, against Qarabag in the Champions League just over a week ago.

Barnes scored twice in this fixture last term and has netted 12 times in all competitions this season, second only to Anthony Gordon, who looks set to continue in a central role against the Red Devils. Newcastle have won this fixture for the past three seasons.
