Manchester City travel to South Wales for midweek League Cup fourth round action against Championship outfit Swansea City.
Pep Guardiola’s side will be out for an immediate return to winning ways following their lacklustre defeat at the hands of Aston Villa in Premier League action on Sunday afternoon in the West Midlands.
A solitary goal from Matty Cash in the first-half at Villa Park was enough to bring an end to Manchester City’s nine-match unbeaten run that had stretched back to the end of August, and featured high-profile wins across all active competitions at present.
That included the Carabao Cup, with City progressing beyond the third round of the tournament with a win away from home against League One side Huddersfield Town thanks to goals from Phil Foden and Savinho at the Accu Stadium in West Yorkshire.
The next round of the competition brings about a step up in challenge for the Premier League side, as they take on Championship side Swansea City, who come into the clash off the back of a third round win over Nottingham Forest in dramatic, comeback fashion.
Ahead of kick-off at the Swansea.com Stadium, Alan Sheehan and Pep Guardiola have now confirmed their respective Swansea and Manchester City starting line-ups for the Carabao Cup fourth round clash.
Starting XI: Fisher; Key, Casey, Burgess, Tymon; Galbraith, Samuels-Smith; Inoussa, Franco, Widell; Idah.
Substitutes: Farman, Cabango, Santos, Fulton, Ronald, Eom, Benson, Cullen, Vipotnik.
Starting XI: Trafford; Lewis, Khusanov, Ake (C), Ait-Nouri; Nico, Cherki, Mukasa; Bobb, Marmoush, Doku.
Substitutes: Bettinelli, Donnarumma, Nunes, Stones, Gvardiol, O’Reilly, Phillips, Foden, Savinho.
