Contempt this Celtic Board has for the support is off the scale

It’s not exactly a secret that the lifeblood of every football club professional or amateur is the supporter base, and Celtic football club is no exception…

The supporters are the ones who descend on a weekly basis to support our Celtic players, whether that’s at home or the length and breadth of the country, or further afield in the continent, and they pay good money to do so.

Even the ones who can’t attend for whatever reasons, do their best to support the club, whether that’s through purchasing merchandise or having a Celtic TV subscription, we all plough our hard earned money into the club’s coffers in different ways, making us a major contributor in the clubs very heartbeat.

Each and every one of us are the glue that holds this club together, not the rich men and women who currently hold the power, and without us the club is worthless.

That’s what makes the recent shunning of the supporters all that more deplorable. From the banning of the Green Brigade to the blackout of Celtic fan media, we are all being treated with sheer contempt by an incompetent self serving bunch of shysters, and it’s got to end, and end soon for the sake of the stability of the club.

The club this week have yet again angered the supporters, in sinking to a new low (if that’s possible) by inviting fan media of another club into the grounds, to have an exclusive sit down with a current Celtic player.

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is the player in question, who was allowed to conduct an interview with Liverpool fan media! It provided an abundance of comments, features, podcasts and so on yesterday.

Look, I’ve nothing against the player or indeed the good folks of Liverpool fan media, but the fact that our club are laying out the welcome mat for another group of supporters is a massive kick in the teeth to us all. The very fact that they also roll the red carpet out to rival supporters and lying twisted hacks who are vocal in their hatred of our club, is another damning indictment of the contempt they have for their own supporters.
