Continuation of Fiorentina vs. Inter to be played on Thursday 6 February: the procedure

Lega Serie A have announced the dates and times for league fixtures for February. Inter will partake in the continuation of their match against Fiorentina on 1 December, interrupted at 0-0 in the 16th minute of the first half due to a medical emergency. The match will be played on 6 February at 20:45 CET at the Stadio Artemio Franchi in Firenze, and will restart from the 16th minute.

RULES FOR THE RESUMPTION OF THE MATCH

The resumption of interrupted matches follows these guidelines:

The match will restart exactly from the situation of play at the moment of the interruption, as recorded in the referee's report. The match will thus restart from the 16th minute with a throw-in for Fiorentina at 0-0.
All players who were already registered with the two clubs at the time of the interruption may be fielded, regardless of whether they were included in the official match sheet on the day of the interruption, with the following conditions: Nicola Zalewski cannot play for Inter at the Franchi. In the same way, Fiorentina cannot use new arrivals Pablo Marì, Nicolas Valentini, Michael Folorunsho or any other players that arrive before the end of the window. On the other hand, all these players are available for Inter vs. Fiorentina on Monday. - Players who had been substituted in the first match cannot be fielded again; No substitutions had been made by the 16th minute of Fiorentina vs. Inter. - Players who were sent off in the first match cannot be fielded again and cannot be replaced by other players; No players had been sent off in Fiorentina vs. Inter on 1 December 2024. - Players who were suspended for the first match cannot be fielded in the resumed game. Players who received a suspension due to a match played after the interrupted game are eligible to play in the resumed match.; There were no players suspended for the game in December. Moreover: Denzel Dumfries, who played against AC Milan on a booking and picked up a yellow card, will be able to play in Fiorentina vs. Inter on Thursday. The suspension will be served for Inter vs. Fiorentina on Monday 10 February. The same is valid for Pietro Comuzzo: the Fiorentina defender will be available for Fiorentina vs. Inter whilst his suspension will be served on matchday 24 in Serie A. - Yellow cards issued by the referee in the interrupted game will not be considered by the disciplinary bodies until the resumption has been played; No cards had been shown at the time the match was suspended. Players currently on a booking (Bastoni for Inter; Gosens and Mandragora for Fiorentina) would miss Inter vs. Fiorentina on Monday should they be booked again. - During the resumed match, both teams can only make the substitutions that were still available from the first game. Neither side had made any substitutions so both Fiorentina and Inter will have five swaps available to make.
