Real Madrid have been locked in contract talks with Vinicius Jr. for quite some time now.
The Brazilian international’s contract at Santiago Bernabeu expires at the end of next season, meaning there are only 14 months left before the attacker becomes a free agent.
Real Madrid are not too keen on offloading Vinicius and want to secure his long-term future at the Bernabeu. After all, he is expected to remain a focal point of the Real Madrid setup next season alongside Kylian Mbappe.
A recent report from Diario AS has offered an optimistic update on Vinicius Jr. and his contract situation at Real Madrid.
As per the report, it is only a matter of time before the Brazilian’s new contract. Real Madrid are convinced that the forward will stay at Bernabeu.

The plan for Vinicius is to travel to the United States this summer and report to Carlo Ancelotti ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, while having signed the new deal at Real Madrid.
That means between now and the start of the World Cup, Real Madrid are expected to announce the new deal that will secure the long-term future of the attacker.
It is no secret that Los Blancos have been apprehensive about Vinicius’ hefty salary demands, refusing to put him in the same bracket as the team’s star player, Mbappe.
But it appears both sides have made concessions and are now confident that the deal will go through. They are now waiting for the ideal time to announce the deal.
Vinicius’ contract extension will be a relief for the Spanish giants, as they hope for the Brazilian to bring his best form back next season.
