Copa Sudamericana 2026 groups set after Luque draw

The 2026 Copa Sudamericana groups were set on Thursday after the draw at Conmebol’s headquarters in Luque, Paraguay, with seven Brazilian clubs placed in separate sections and only able to meet from the knockouts.
According to Globo.com, group winners advance directly to the last 16, while runners-up enter play-offs against the Libertadores third-placed sides. The group stage runs from seven April to 28 May, with the knockout draw on three June and the final on 21 November in Barranquilla, Colombia.
Group A features América de Cali, Tigre, Macará and Alianza Atlético. Group B has Atlético-MG, Cienciano, Puerto Cabello and Juventud. Group C includes São Paulo, Millonarios, Boston River and O'Higgins.
Group D contains Santos, San Lorenzo, Deportivo Cuenca and Recoleta. Group E brings Racing, Caracas, Independiente Petrolero and Botafogo. Group F sets Grêmio, Palestino, City Torque and Riestra.
Group G pits Olimpia, Vasco, Audax Italiano and Barracas Central. Group H matches River Plate, Bragantino, Blooming and Carabobo. Play-off ties are scheduled for 21 to 30 July, the last 16 for 11 to 20 August, quarter-finals for eight to 17 September and semi-finals for 13 to 21 October.
