Carlos Corberán faces attacking concerns before the Levante derby, with Hugo Duro leaving training early and Danjuma missing the session, putting their involvement in doubt.
Valencia returned to work at Paterna to prepare for Sunday afternoon’s trip to the Ciutat de València. According to AS, they held a recovery session on Monday after losing to Real Madrid, then rested on Tuesday, and are now focused on a visit with more than three points at stake.
Duro withdrew with discomfort that prevented him completing the session. He has been Corberán’s starting striker in recent matches and is the team’s top scorer. He left Mestalla limping after the Real Madrid game.
Danjuma did not train on the pitch. On his day off on Tuesday he attended Paterna for treatment on issues from Sunday’s match. The next few days will be key to their progress, and both remain doubts for the derby.
Thierry Correia worked as normal after suffering a muscle overload against Real Madrid. He had been out for several weeks with a muscle injury and played the final 20 minutes at Mestalla.
Agirrezabala will not feature on Sunday, as he is in the final weeks of his recovery.
Corberán’s side have three more sessions before visiting Levante on Sunday. The derby is expected to be dramatic for both teams given their current struggles in LaLiga.
