Semana Corinthians, an academic week focusing on the club at the University of São Paulo’s Leste campus, has been postponed from May to September.

The club’s cultural department said in a social media post on Tuesday that the programme will feature an academic symposium bringing together researchers, professionals, institutional representatives and guests to examine Corinthians from multiple perspectives, including its history, memory and role in popular culture.

The meeting aims to discuss the club’s relationship with wider Brazilian society over time. Planned topics include football’s role in combating racism, promoting social inclusion, and the club’s contribution to the sport’s development in the country.

Activities are scheduled for the School of Arts, Sciences and Humanities at the University of São Paulo, known as USP Leste, in EACH’s Red Auditorium.

The University of São Paulo is regarded as Brazil’s largest higher education and research centre. It ranks second in Latin America in the QS World University Rankings and plays a significant role in the country’s scientific and technological progress.
