Corinthians arrived in Porto Alegre with a 24-man squad for Saturday's meeting with Grêmio at Arena do Grêmio. Kick-off is 17:30 in round 18 of the Brasileirão, the final match before the World Cup pause.
The headline inclusion is Gui Negão, back after a grade 2 injury to the back of his right thigh suffered in March with Brazil Under-20s. Cleared since 3 May, he did not play the next eight games and was omitted three times, including the 2-0 Libertadores group defeat to Platense. According to ge.globo, Vitinho has right hip pain and a hamstring tendon injury and remains out.
At the back, João Pedro Tchoca is still recovering from surgery to repair an inguinal hernia, while Hugo Farias continues treatment on a lateral meniscus injury in his right knee. Midfielder Charles is also absent. Young forward Kayke ruptured the ACL in his left knee and is out for the season.
Memphis Depay is away with the Netherlands for the World Cup and reports on Saturday. Jesse Lingard was permitted on Thursday to travel to England for personal reasons.
Hugo Souza, Fabrizio Angileri, Matheus Bidu, Rodrigo Garro and Yuri Alberto are one booking from suspension for the Remo tie in the week of 22 July at Neo Química Arena. Lingard is also on two yellows but will not feature.
Corinthians sit 15th on 21 points. A win, and favourable results elsewhere, could lift them as high as eighth.
