Corinthians began preparations on Thursday to face Internacional on Sunday, 5, at 19:30 at Neo Química Arena, set against mounting pressure from supporters after an eight-match winless run in 2026.
According to Meu Timao, leaders of Gaviões da Fiel visited CT Joaquim Grava in the morning and issued strong demands to players and staff.
Players who featured for more than 45 minutes in Wednesday’s defeat to Fluminense completed recovery work, while the rest underwent physical activation and a warm-up on the grass at CT Joaquim Grava.
Dorival Júnior then drilled pressing and possession, plus small-sided games, followed by offensive routines focusing on passes, crosses and finishing.
Under pressure in the job, Dorival is set to regain goalkeeper Hugo Souza and midfielder André Carrillo after Brazil and Peru duty in the last FIFA window. Midfielder Raniele also returns from suspension.
Allan and left-back Matheus Bidu are suspended. Forwards Memphis Depay, with a strain in the front of his right thigh, Gui Negão, with a grade 2 right thigh injury, and Kaio César, with perifibrotic inflammation in the previously injured right hamstring, remain sidelined. Left-back Hugo Farias is still recovering from surgery on the lateral meniscus of his right knee. Training continues on Friday morning, and Corinthians are 11th in the league with 10 points.
