Corinthians defenders lead Fiel ratings as Hugo Souza stars in 2-0 win over Bragantino | OneFootball

Corinthians beat Red Bull Bragantino 2-0 in the third round of the Campeonato Brasileiro at Neo Química Arena, with the back line topping Fiel fan ratings.

Hugo Souza was the standout, according to Meu Timao. He saved Isidro Pitta's second-half penalty and matched Gylmar dos Santos Neves in the club's historical ranking for that metric. He averaged 9.4 from 1,035 votes, the highest rating of the night.

Gabriel Paulista and Matheus Bidu scored the goals and led the outfield ratings, at 9.3 and 9.1. Fellow defenders Gustavo Henrique and Matheuzinho posted 8.2 and 8.0.

In midfield, Rodrigo Garro, who set up Paulista's strike, recorded 7.6. Allan marked his debut with 7.2, while Raniele had 6.8, André Carrillo 6.6 and Matheus Pereira 6.4.

The forwards drew the lowest scores. Yuri Alberto and Memphis Depay failed to convince, and substitutes Vitinho, Kayke and Gui Negão were also judged below expectations. Coach Dorival Júnior earned 7.9, while referee Felipe Fernandes de Lima received 1.7 from 1,137 assessments.

The win moved Corinthians up to 12th in the Campeonato Brasileiro on three points. They still have a game in hand away to Athletico Paranaense at Arena da Baixada. Next up is São Bernardo FC on Sunday at 20:30 at Estádio Primeiro de Maio, the final round of the Paulista first phase.
