Corinthians duo Breno Bidon and João Pedro Tchoca have been recognised among Brazil’s best under-23 performers over the past six months, according to Meu Timao. The CIES Football Observatory included both in its latest rankings.
Bidon, 21, placed fifth with a performance index of 76. His key trait was listed as orchestration, the ability to start attacks with accurate distribution.
Only Vitor Roque of Palmeiras, Robert Renan of Vasco, Allan of Palmeiras and Álvaro Montoro of Botafogo ranked higher, with scores of 84.1, 79.2, 78 and 76.5 respectively.
Tchoca, 22, was 17th with a 72.7 index after 990 minutes. His standout attribute was construction, initiating play from defence under pressure to aid clean transitions.
In his role, only three players were ahead, namely Robert Renan, Viery Fernandes of Grêmio with 75.6, and Victor Gabriel of Internacional with 75.3.
CIES developed the index with German firm Impect, assessing players across eight technical categories, aerial defence, ground defence, construction, orchestration, dribbling, chance creation, finishing and aerial attack. Scores were adjusted for match difficulty and minutes, producing ratings from 30 to 100. Globally, Lamine Yamal led with 100, followed by Kenan Yildiz on 96 and Warren Zaïre-Emery on 94.3.
