Corinthians beat São Paulo 3-2 in the Brasileirão on Sunday in São Paulo to stay 17th, with the visitors remaining fourth.
In the 17th minute Raniele glanced in from close range after Rodrigo Garro's corner found him at the near post.
Luciano levelled for the Tricolor Paulista (41.) from Damián Bobadilla's pass, and VAR confirmed the goal after a check.
After the restart Timão surged again, with Matheuzinho rifling into the top corner from André Carrillo's pass (52.). Breno Bidon then guided a left-footer into the bottom corner from distance (57.), again teed up by Garro.
A late twist arrived when Matheuzinho put through his own net (89.), and in the sixth minute of second half stoppage time Hugo Souza saved from André Silva to seal it.
Sixteen minutes of first half stoppage time were indicated amid a stop-start opening period.
Timão registered 15 attempts with six on target. The Tricolor Paulista produced seven attempts and four on target.
Next, Timão host Barra in the Copa do Brasil. The Tricolor Paulista visit Juventude in the same competition.
