The Brazilian transfer window has closed, leaving Corinthians' squad unchanged until 20 July after a churn of departures and arrivals.
According to Globo.com, 10 players left and 8 arrived over the past three months, with spending limited to R$ 1.8m on Matheus Pereira's loan from Fortaleza, a fee that could be offset against any future purchase.
President Osmar Stabile can point to progress on the financial restructuring plan, with minimal outlay on signings and a reduced wage bill.
Even so, Dorival Júnior's staff did not see every request met. Hopes of adding a forward and or a back-up goalkeeper late in the window ended without a financial agreement.
With a leaner group, Dorival may again turn to the academy if cover is needed. A transition cohort includes Bahia, Jacaré, Iago Machado, Gui Amorim and Luiz Fernando. They have not featured so far but could step in if required.
The next four months bring a busy programme. Corinthians face 10 Brasileirão rounds, including derbies with Palmeiras and São Paulo, six Conmebol Libertadores group games and at least two Copa do Brasil ties.
