Corinthians endure worst start to Brasileirão Feminino since 2016 relaunch | OneFootball

Corinthians have made their worst start to the Brasileirão Feminino since the team were reactivated in 2016, winning only one of the first three rounds.

According to Meu Timao, there has been a change in the dugout. They opened with victory over Atlético Mineiro, then drew with Fluminense, before losing to Palmeiras in Emily Lima’s debut.

That run leaves them on four points in ninth place, outside the knockout spots.

Across the past 10 editions, Corinthians began perfectly in six seasons, in 2017, 2018, 2020, 2021, 2023 and 2024. They were unbeaten, with at least one draw, in 2016, 2022 and 2025, and lost at least once only in 2019.

Lucas Piccinato was dismissed after the draw in Itaquera, and the squad then had a little over two weeks to work with the new staff. Part of the group were away on the FIFA window during that period.

Corinthians return to Neo Química Arena for round four, hosting América Mineiro at 21:00 on Monday, 23.
