The Movimento Expulsão Já petition to remove ex-presidents Andrés Sanchez, Duilio Monteiro Alves and Augusto Melo from Corinthians’ membership has passed 40,000 signatures.

According to Meu Timao, the campaign, created by Projeto Time do Povo and linked to Coletivo Democracia Corinthiana, challenges alleged irregularities and mobilises fans at home and abroad.

The initial 25,000 target was raised to 35,000, reached last Sunday. The new aim is 48,932, matching Neo Química Arena’s attendance record set on 27 March 2025 in the 0-0 draw with Palmeiras in the Campeonato Paulista final, when Corinthians took the title.

Beyond online backing, WhatsApp groups top 1,000 members and banners have appeared at Parque São Jorge, the Arena and at Canindé during the 2026 Paulistão quarter-final with Portuguesa. Volunteers have distributed stickers and leaflets.

Next comes a formal submission to the Conselho Deliberativo, with a push for an open, nominal vote. A legal brief cites the club Statute, the Lei Pelé and the Lei Geral do Esporte.

More than 700 members have signed in support, alongside dozens of external groups. Fiel Macabra has declared backing, with talks involving Camisa 12 and Pavilhão 9. The mobilisation spans Canada, Portugal, Australia, France, Spain and Ireland. Launched in January 2026, it followed Ministério Público de São Paulo (MP-SP) investigations into alleged irregular corporate card use. The petition remains open on the campaign’s website.
