Corinthians host Vasco da Gama on Sunday at 16:00 at Neo Química Arena, chasing a sixth successive clean sheet for the first time since 2015. The fixture is part of the 13th round of the Campeonato Brasileiro.
According to Meu Timao, the last run of this length came under Tite between February and March 2015. It began with a 2-0 win over Linense on 25 February, then 3-0 against Mogi Mirim, 1-0 at San Lorenzo, 1-0 at São Paulo, 1-0 versus São Bernardo, and ended with a 0-0 against Red Bull Brasil on 14 March.
Fernando Diniz’s side are currently five matches without conceding. The sequence started with a 2-0 win over Platense on 9 April in the Libertadores, followed by a 0-0 with Palmeiras in the league, a 2-0 over Independiente Santa Fe in Itaquera, a 0-0 with Vitória on 18 April, and victory at Barra-SC at the Ressacada on Tuesday in the Copa do Brasil.
Since taking charge in early April, Diniz has three wins and two draws, with five scored and none conceded.
To climb out of the relegation zone, Corinthians need to sustain their defensive solidity and sharpen their attack. They sit 17th with 12 points from 12 games, and a win could lift them as high as 12th depending on other results.
