Corinthians fans back centre-backs, criticise Garro after 1-0 derby loss to Palmeiras

Corinthians lost 1-0 to Palmeiras in the seventh round of the Paulistão, and supporters backed the centre-backs while directing the harshest criticism at Garro.

According to Meu Timao, fan ratings on the Notas da Torcida board were largely low after the defeat.

Gabriel Paulista led the team with 6.7, Breno Bidon followed with 6.3, and Gustavo Henrique posted 6.2.

Garro received 1.4 after losing the ball in the move that led to Palmeiras' goal. Pedro Raul had 1.5, and Memphis Depay was rated 1.9 after missing a penalty that could have opened the scoring.

Yuri Alberto and Vitinho were also marked down at 2.0 and 2.1 respectively. Goalkeeper Hugo Souza received 3.5.

Corinthians now aim to respond. They face Red Bull Bragantino at Neo Química Arena on Thursday, 12 February, kick-off 20:00, in the Campeonato Brasileiro.
