Corinthians fans have voted in favour of extending Vic Albuquerque’s contract to 2027, according to Meu Timao. The 28-year-old is tied to the club only until 31 December this year.
In the poll, 70.4% backed renewal for the No 17, while 29.6% were against, preferring her cycle to end after this season.
Vic is the Brabas’ record scorer with 124 goals and 58 assists in 268 games. She has won 18 trophies, including six Brasileirãos and five Libertadores, and is level with Gabi Zanotti as the most decorated women’s player in club history.
This is her eighth season across two spells. Signed in 2019 from Osasco Audax, she left for Madrid CFF in January 2022 and returned that June.
Form has fluctuated since last season. She lost her guaranteed starting spot under Lucas Piccinato, regained prominence after Emily Lima arrived in February, yet is nine matches without a goal. Her last came in a 5-1 Brasileirão win over Red Bull Bragantino on 3 April at Fazendinha.
In 2026, she has featured in 19 of 21 matches, scoring three and providing five assists. One was in the Copa das Campeãs final, the Women’s Club World Cup, where Corinthians lost 3-2 to Arsenal to finish runners-up.
She could add to those numbers on Friday, when Corinthians host Ferroviária, her favourite opponent with nine goals. Kick-off is 19:00 at Fazendinha in the fourth round of the Campeonato Paulista.
