Corinthians full-back Tamires to co-host Central da Copa during World Cup | OneFootball

Corinthians left-back Tamires will join TV Globo’s Central da Copa presenting team during the FIFA World Cup break. The 38-year-old announced the move on Tuesday.

According to Meu Timao, the nightly programme will air live from Monday to Saturday, recapping the tournament staged in June and July across the United States, Mexico and Canada. Tamires will share presenting duties with Fábio Porchat and Tadeu Schmidt.

She framed the role as a new challenge, expressing nerves, excitement and tension as she prepares in her own way. The aim is to take information, joy and lightness into viewers’ homes, with the first show set for 11 June.

This is not her first television assignment. In 2022 she worked as a Globo pundit during the Qatar World Cup, and in May 2025 appeared on Globo Esporte to analyse the Seleção Feminina’s friendly against Japan.

Tamires will combine the broadcast work with her playing schedule at Corinthians. As Brabas have friendlies against the United States Under-23 side on 5 and 9 June in São Paulo, and a return to official action is slated for the second half of July against Ferroviária in the Paulistão.

She has 225 appearances, 37 goals, 55 assists and 17 titles for As Brabas. Her contract with Corinthians runs until December 2027.
