Corinthians have received a boost in their bid to bring back Wesley, with Al-Nassr ready to cover most of his salary in a loan. According to Meu Timao, the 21-year-old also wants to return to Parque São Jorge.
He was offered to Corinthians after talks with Cruzeiro, but initial wage demands were beyond what the club considered viable. Al-Nassr’s stance could speed talks, though nothing is agreed and his camp prioritise Corinthians.
“We will go after good players like Wesley, who is homegrown and has qualities I like. He is a dribbler and wants to return to Corinthians. If this matures, it will be an important reinforcement for us,” coach Fernando Diniz said in an interview with SporTV before Sunday’s friendly against FC Cascavel.
On the left, only the youngster Kayke had similar traits. He had been starting under Diniz, but tore his anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee and is out for the season. Jesse Lingard has played there recently, with Breno Bidon now starting.
Any deal still hinges on finances. Corinthians are under a Fifa transfer ban over a delayed payment to Philadelphia Union for José Martínez, about seven million reais, and cannot register players for the next three windows until it is paid. Brazil’s window opens on 20 July.
An academy graduate who debuted in 2023, Wesley made 85 appearances and scored seven goals before joining Al-Nassr in August 2024. He spent early 2026 on loan at Real Sociedad, playing five times.
