Corinthians have four players called up for Brazil’s under-17 women’s squad

On the afternoon of Tuesday (27), Rilany Silva, coach of the Brazil Women’s U-17 National Team, announced the list of 30 athletes called up for the first stage of preparation for the South American Championship in the category. The tournament will take place in April, with the host city yet to be announced by Conmebol. In the call-up, four Corinthians athletes were included.

They are: goalkeeper Nathália Borges (2011), defender Kaillany (2009), as well as midfielders Carol Melo (2009) and Pepê (2009). The quartet will represent the Amarelinha from February 5 to 15, at the Development Center (CD), located in the Bairro dos Coqueiros, a city near Aracaju, the capital of Sergipe.

It’s worth noting that Corinthians has frequently had athletes called up to the Brazil Women’s U-17 National Team. In 2025, goalkeeper Ana Morganti (now with the Brabas’ professional squad), full-back Dany Pereira, midfielders Pepê and Julia Faria, as well as winger Dulce Maria, represented the Canarinho at the World Cup in the category, where the Amarelinha finished in fourth place.

The Corinthians Women’s U-17 team is expected to make its debut in 2026 only in May. This season, the team will compete in the Brasileirão and the Campeonato Paulista in the category, under the command of Julia Passero.
