According to Meu Timao, Corinthians have been hit with a fresh Fifa transfer ban over late debt payments, carrying a $225,000 penalty.

The sanction stems from overdue sums linked to midfielders José Martínez and Charles, plus forward Talles Magno. The club must pay approximately R$ 1.1 million for the ban to be lifted.

There was also movement in their pursuit of 21-year-old striker Wesley. The player wants to return to Parque São Jorge, and Corinthians have persuaded Saudi side Al-Nassr to cover the majority of his salary.

Fernando Diniz addressed the possibility of Memphis Depay departing and said he is hoping the number 10 stays. He added that, in this window, the best reinforcement could be keeping the current group together.

It capped a busy Monday for the club.
