Corinthians held their penultimate training session on Monday ahead of Coritiba, with midfielder Matheus Pereira beginning his physical transition after a grade 2 injury to his left hamstring, the club said.
They meet at 21:30 on Wednesday at Neo Química Arena in the fifth round of the Campeonato Brasileiro.
At CT Dr. Joaquim Grava, the day began with a tactical video in the Sala de Preleção Flexform, then gym activation and a warm-up on the pitch, followed by possession-focused technical work.
Dorival Júnior led a 10 versus 10 tactical drill, organised strategic work and rehearsed set pieces, before finishing with shooting exercises.
Pereira had also taken part in Sunday’s session as he steps up his recovery. An 11-day gap without matches, following elimination from the Campeonato Paulista, has been used to speed up medical work.
Preparation concludes at the training ground on Tuesday. Corinthians are third in the table with seven points from four rounds, three behind leaders Palmeiras and São Paulo.
