Corinthians loan right-back Gabriel Caipira to Série D side Betim | OneFootball

Corinthians have loaned 21-year-old right-back Gabriel Caipira to Betim, the Série D club from Minas Gerais, with the move already recorded on the CBF BID.

The agreement runs until the end of 2026, when his Corinthians deal also expires. Rádio TMC reports there had been scope for a renewal, which did not happen and will depend on his productivity at Betim.

Caipira is another departure amid an early-year overhaul led by academy executive Erasmo Damiani. On Tuesday, four further players were released.

Lacking first-team opportunities, he trained separately after recovering from a tibial stress fracture, an injury that kept him out of this year's Copinha, his final youth tournament.

Among other overage prospects moved on, Paraguayan centre-back Fernando Vera joined ZTE FC in Hungary, while midfielder Thomas Lisboa completed a permanent switch to JK Tammeka in Estonia.

Raised largely at Parque São Jorge, Caipira was deployed as a forward in 2024. He is from the same cohort as Gabriel Moscardo, Wesley and Breno Bidon, and in 2025 he supplied six assists and captained the under-20s.
